Newspaper Archive Introduction: This lot forms part of an impressive collection of 1910s-1960s sports and U.S. history newspapers offered in our current auction. Typical of newspaper archives of this vintage, the preservation is quite strong in the central areas, with expected perimeter tanning and chipping. That said, it's important to emphasize that the pages are refreshingly sturdy and supple overall, not brittle unless specifically noted as such in rare instances. There are also some previously bound "rag" editions that came directly out of newspaper files and thus exhibit white pages with very little edge chipping.
